Landry's Restaurant Review PDF Print E-mail

We dined at Landry's Seafood House while in Destin Florida.  We tried to eat at Joe's Crab Shack next door but it was an hour and a half wait and with two starving kids this really wasn't an option.  We were able to be seated immediately at Landry's so we elected to do that.

My oldest son had his heart set on crab and had talked about it all day.

Landry's was out of Alaskan King Crab Legs so he ordered what he thought was the next best thing - the Crab Feast as this included Alaskan king crab legs, stuffed crab, jumbo lump crab, crab scampi, fried crab fingers, a jumbo lump crab cake and crabmeat au gratin.  He ate the crab legs and nothing else.  He only picked a little.

My youngest son ordered a corn dog with fries and seemed to really enjoy his meal.

My wife and I shared a Broiled Seafood Platter.  We ordered this after consultation with the waitress as we are both very careful with what we eat.  This meal included Fresh Catch Pontchartrain, Gulf shrimp, stuffed shrimp, shrimp scampi and sautéed scallops.  While there was nothing fried it was all cooked in a great deal of butter.  We also did not eat our meal because of this.
